Teaching content: Unit 11 My birthday

Teaching aims:

3. To encourage students to show themselves bravely and confidently.

1. To classify the words about fruit, drink, vegetable and food.

2. To talk about what they would like to eat or drink.

Teaching procedures:

Step1 Warm up

Sing a song Its morning,its morning...

Step2 Presentation

T: I have got a message from the Princess Sofia. Let’s check it.

Princess Sofia: Hi, everyone! Today is my birthday.Would you like to come to my party? Pass three tasks and you can come. Come on!

Step3 Practice

1.Task 1: Guess the word---birthday.

2.Task 2: Sharp eyes.

Students look at the picture and read the words out.

3.Task 3:

1) Ask and answer

A: What would you like to eat/ drink?

B: I'd like________, please.

A: Here you are.

B: Thank you.

Team leader asks and then other group members answer.

2)Classify the words: Everybody gives his card to the right person who acts as the fruit, drink, vegetable and food.

Step 4 Group work---Have a party

Students work in their group and then act it out.

A: It's my birthday. Welcome to my party ____, what would you like to eat/drink?

B: I'd like_____, please.

A: Here you are.

B: Thank you.

A: Would you like some_______?

C: Yes, please. / No, thank you.

D: Can I have ______, please?

A: Here you are.

E: ......

Step 5 Homework

Talk about what you would like to eat or drink with the other classmates and teachers.

教学反思:

本节课是活动课,主要是引导学生学以致用,鼓励学生将英语用于实际生活中。本节课的重点为复习巩固食物类单词和基本句型 What would you like to eat/drink? I’d like...难点为将食物单词进行分类和灵活运用What would you like to eat/drink? I’d like.../ Would you like.../Can I have some...等句型。

首先,由孩子们比较喜欢的Sofia小公主的语音开始,小公主邀请孩子们参加她的生日party,但是必须闯过三关,孩子们热情高涨,积极参与闯关,第一关猜单词birthday;第二关sharp eyes,快速地说出PPT上闪过的单词,第三关,难度稍大,先是小组内用What would you like...这个句型问答,然后将单词进行分类。闯过三关,孩子们来到Sofia小公主的party上,先是小组活动,然后是上台展示,各个孩子都很积极,大胆的展示。

本节课的环节和活动设计都较符合低段孩子的心理,闯关似的游戏设计吸引着孩子,孩子们整节课情绪高涨,不足之处有:1、教师的教具丰富,个别学生注意力集中在教具上;2、课堂各环节的时间分配上还需更合理;3、平日也要有意识地培养孩子认真倾听的习惯。

本次赛课从课件更改,流程优化,设计新颖,教具准备与制作,都离不开英语组每一位成员对我的帮助,第一次参加赛课,有过期待,有过紧张,正是因为我身后强大的团队才让我能完整地将这堂课呈现出来,又一次挑战了我自己。感谢之余我也告诉自己:教学这条路任重而道远,吾将上下而求索。

他评:

1. 对于吴婷老师本次生命课堂的赛课现场大家对她的精妙绝伦的教学设计连连称赞,本节课的主题以My birthday”为主线,这节课的内容简单可以拓展的内容其实相对较少,但是本节课的课前老师将孩子们平时学过的关于水果、蔬菜和食品类的单词分门别类地在课前的warm up环节让小老师们带着全班复习一次,这样由浅入深、环环相扣和大容量词汇的教学给在场所有的评委和老师留下了深刻的印象,这正契合了“生命课堂”的关于所有的教学环节和教学内容环环相扣,师生关系平等融洽,学生参与面广的教学理念。

2. 对于My birthday party”这一看似简单的主题,老师在细节的处理上以一位动画片主人翁Sophia小姐为设计,设置了三个闯关环节,孩子们通过大量的小组活动练习本节课的重难点句型后,对于可以较好完成任务的孩子们可以参加Sophia的生日派对。对于低年段的孩子而言,通过他们熟悉而且感兴趣的动画人物穿插课堂的 主线,既增强了课堂活动的趣味性设置闯关环节也给了学生新的挑战和悬念,让孩子们在充满趣味的课堂氛围下学习语言。

3. 学习语言不仅是单纯地学习而已,语言来源于生活其实也需要运用于生活。吴婷老师的这节课的内容和孩子们平时熟悉的生日派对的活动息息相关,孩子们在给索菲亚生日过生日的语言环境中不仅学习到在日常给其他同学过生日的语言交际,而且使孩子们在轻松的氛围中自然习得语言,最后闯关成功的孩子可以参与索菲亚公主的派对对这个课程达到了升华的作用,视为本节课的点睛之笔。
